For Finance and Operations, the latest, current version is version 8.0. The April 2019 update will be referred to as version 10. All customers running versions 7.0, 7.1, 7.2, and 8.0 should update to version 10. The only exception to being on the latest version is for customers with unfulfilled extension requests that have been submitted to Microsoft. For these customers, support for version 7.3 will be available until April 2020.

The Support lifecycle for versions 7.1 and 7.2 will end on April 2019. Customers running these versions will need to upgrade to version 10, unless they have existing unfulfilled extension requests, in which case those customers must upgrade to version 7.3.

The customer is in full control of its on-premises deployments and must follow this policy. The customer is in control of installing updates in its on-premises environments. Microsoft will support ... only if the customer keeps the deployed software current according to this policy.

Critical fixes and non-critical updates are handled in the following way:

Critical fixes – Critical fixes include security fixes and any fixes that are required to support reliability and availability. Critical fixes will be made available in the latest platform update version.

Non-critical updates – Customers must update to the most current Finance and Operations platform and financial reporter version to deploy non-critical updates.

В облачной версии очень императивно требуют переходить на новые версии.

В on-premises обязывают устанавливать все обновления как условие поддержки.

Клуб оверлейщиков должен превратиться в клуб сбокулейщиков. Когда нет кастомизаций в самой AX7+, а есть интеграция с каким-то вторым приложением где ты действительно хозяин. Тут правда о лицензиях не надо забывать при тесной интеграции.
