Solutions Monkey: w3wp crash while installing EP or creating EP site
Источник: http://blogs.msdn.com/solutions/arch...g-ep-site.aspx
==============
Thanks to our CSS team, below is the resolution for EP site creation crashing w3wp issue.

Action:

Installing AX 2009 Enterprise Portal on Windows Server 2008

Result:

The w3wp.exe process crashes during installation. You get the following error in the application event log:

Faulting application w3wp.exe, version 7.0.6001.18000, time stamp 0x47919ed8, faulting module kernel32.dll, version 6.0.6001.18000, time stamp 0x4791ada5, exception code 0xe053534f, fault offset 0x000000000002649d, process id 0x%9, application start time 0x%10.

--------

You get the following entries in the DynamicsSetup.txt:

---------

An error occured while Setup was creating a new site.

The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive.

System.Net.WebException

...

....

Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

...

...

An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host

...

Cause:

This has been identified as a known issue if the Analysis Management Objects (AMO) for SQL Server has been not installed on EP server . During installation of EP deployment is looking for dll which is connected with Analysis Services. If this dll is not found the EP deployment keeps on looking for the dll and the memory id gets overloaded and causes the IIS application pool (w3wp.exe) to crash.

The Installation of Role Centers and Enterprise Portal requirements have been updated to include installation of SQL AMO (The original installation guide did not state this).

Resolution:

Install SQL AMO (Analysis Management Objects Collections) depending on the SQL version installed that is hosting the AX databases.

The new updated AX 2009 Installation guide reflects the requirements for installing AX 2009 Role Centers and Enterprise Portal.

SQL Server 2005 AMO (from December 2008 Feature Pack):
  • X86 Package (SQLServer2005_XMO.msi)
  • X64 Package (SQLServer2005_XMO_x64.msi)
  • IA64 Package (SQLServer2005_XMO_ia64.msi)

SQL Server 2008 AMO (from October 2008 Feature Pack):
  • X86 Package (SQLSERVER2008_ASAMO10.msi</SPAN>) - 2659 KB
  • X64 Package (SQLSERVER2008_ASAMO10.msi) - 4317 KB
  • IA64 Package (SQLSERVER2008_ASAMO10.msi</SPAN>) - 6055 KB
