Job Purpose:
The Chief People Officer (CPO) serves as the key evangelist for Stoneridge Software team members while fostering a culture where everyone enjoys their work. The CPO develops programs to attract and retain the best and brightest to the organization through a strategic recruiting approach. The CPO also serves as the chief talent agent and participates on the company leadership team.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Serve as the advocate for our team members to extend our reputation as a best place to work
- Develops recruiting strategies to attract the best and brightest to the team
- Serve as a guide for our managers in leading their team members
- Develop and manage accountability chart within the organization with clear roles and responsibilities
- Participate on the leadership team and lead a team of human resources professionals
- Develop and administer our annual review process
- Work with managers to develop readiness programs for their team members leveraging Learning Management tools
- Own and update the employee handbook each quarter
- Develop the strategy around benefits to attract and retain great people
- Provide requirements to the IT team for any HR and People based systems
- Until the team is developed, serve as the recruiter and readiness lead for the team
Skills/Qualifications:
- Master’s degree with preference for major in Human Resources-related fields preferred; Bachelor’s Degree required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience as a recruiter showing proven ability to hire 20 people per year
- Experience in people leadership
- Strong Microsoft office skills – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with communication tools – email (Outlook), instant messaging and meeting technologies
- Ability to work collaboratively for the best interests of the business and the team
