everythingdynamicsaxbi: Errors when trying to generate a forecast using Demand Forecasting (AX2012)

I was setting up Ax2012R3 to use the Demand Forecasting functionality and it wasn’t that straightforward as I thought. I began deploying the Demand Forecast database from SQL Server Analysis Services wizard:



After that I configured a scheduled refresh for the cube in the SQL Server Agent. After trying to generate a forecast I got an error saying:



So I followed the link in the infolog and went on installing the Microsoft SQL Server ADOMD.NET on the AOS server:



Ok good. Went on trying to generate a forecast again, but then another error popped up saying:



Not very informative at all. This could mean a lot of different things, but it is related to permissions. Security in the SSAS cubes are handled outside of AX, so I connected to the Demand Forecast SSAS database and added the AOS Service Account and my user to the “Production Planner” role. I then processed the cubes and voilà, the forecast was generated without errors
