Description:
When launching the POS.exe it is loading the devices found in the POS hardware profile and establish the connection through Common Control Object (CCO). The POS printer is not loaded and the pos returns with the message that the printer can´t be found.
Cause:
Even that the user is administrator on the local machine, the access through the Common Control Object (CCO) is not possible. We have seen this issue on windows 7 and with certain printers like
HP A799 printer
Citizen
CT-S2000 printer
Solution:
The solution is to set the Privilege level: "Run this program as administrator"
