In a previous
post we had a look at setting up the entity store. As you saw in that video there are a lot of the standard entities that you won’t be able to published to the entity store as you will get a ModifiedBy error.
This is annoying because it means out of the standard 476 entities in CU11 you will only be able to published about 106 without error. Now a lot of the standard entities are designed to move parameters or master data they aren’t really BI related entities that aggregate data so this may not be a big issue as you will likely have to create your own entities. If you do want to use these standard ones then you will have to make some modifications to get around the ModifiedBy error.
The actual error will be something to the effect of “Please make sure that all tables in the ‘entityname’ query has the ModifiedBy property enabled.”
