3 Overview - Demo Scenarios
To demonstrate end-to-end scenarios, where electronic documents are exchanged between two trading partners, requires two separated companies. This set up is simulated by exchanging documents between two Company Accounts in Dynamics AX.
A script, that must be installed prior to the demo, will setup and configure the AIF and create an extra company account; Duo Engineering which will be the vendor to primary company account; The Global Trading and Manufacturing Company.
The demo scenarios consist of two end-to-end scenarios, where documents are electronically exchanged between the company accounts.
In the first scenario, a purchase order is posted in Global Trading & Manufacturing Company (customer). The purchase order is delivered to the AIF where it is transformed to a sales order. The sales order is then delivered to the vendor account Duo Engineering ready for posting.
The second part of the scenario is performed from the vendor account
The sales order must be posted, creating confirmation, picking list, packing slip and sales invoice (normal Dynamics AX sales routine).
When the sales invoice is posted, it is delivered to the AIF, where it is transformed to a purchase invoice
The purchase invoice is then delivered to the customer account Global trading and Manufacturing
