Dilip's Blog on Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations and Classic AX, Dilip stated that recently he was trying to find out the virtual machine size for a tier-2 sandbox UAT VM for a customer.
He pointed out that Microsoft was slowly restricting and discontinuing direct remote desktop protocol (RDP) access to any of your VMs.
However, he noted that he still had access to a few of his customer's UAT VMs which went live around 2016-2017 and were early adopters of AX7.
Dilip went into detail about how he retrieved the tier 2 sandbox VM size using Azure REST metadata API.
